Holland Diary. part 1

16/10/2011 location veenendaal Holland.

2 weeks have passed and seven to go. It's such a wonderful place. It's very picturesque, small and peacful. it's hard to believe that only 40 minutes away by train is Amsterdam. i was there yestarday for the first time in years. What a place Expensive but full of life, culture and the odd coffee shop.....
It was a very busy place and you see it through diffrent eyes when you are 22.
The town of Veenendaal is very diffrent from anywhere i have ever been before. there is litraly a wind mill in our back garden, no joke. Like i said though a very small town, and very christian aswell, That's one of the last things you would think of when you though of Holland. The only places Open in our town on a sunday was a Hotel and the Burger king. This place is remarkable and the diffrence it has to Glasgow is astounding.

My spiritual confession

My father was never in my life, not that I can remember. One situation I recall is when I was around 5 or 6, my father has been unfaithful to my mum to the point he fathered a child with another woman his name was john we attended nursery school together. I don’t have many memories and it was not until I was older, I found out I had a brother. John was conceived the night my mum was in giving birth to me, that’s right a class act father all the way. One cold and haunting night something very tragic happened. John fell in the park from a high jungle gym type attraction that climbed to the sky. He seemed okay and the night went on to John and his mum gong to the chippy (chip shop). Whilst waiting on his food he slipped on a wet floor and banged his head for a second time in 2 hours. His mum seemed to think he would be alright and continued on with the night john had a best friend called lee whom I know very well. Light

Light by Danny McCourt Jr.   There are many different meanings to the word light, the definition is to ignite or to make dark light. Light for me means many things, it means the light at the end of the tunnel meaning always move forward and eventually light equals happiness. people always say it gets darker before the light and its true it does. The glow of a expecting mother the sunshine in the sky. The word light meaning to have light in your life to follow a faith and to give people hope. Its hard to think that just one word can be the starting point for such a positive mentality.
